Post-treatment

Post-treatment is when the printed ink requires additional action to give it a new quality.

Two types of post-treatment are typically used :

• UV lamp treatment to cross-link the UV ink (dry it)
• Varnish printing to protect the base print from chemical or physical aggression (UV sunlight, acids, bases...)
